The required portfolio will be evaluated with emphasis given to excellence in design, academic preparation, essays and other achievements. The McCombs School of Business offers freshman admission only for the summer or fall semesters. Transfer admission is only offered for the fall semester. Applicants should apply as an “undeclared” major (Unspecified Business). Only after enrolling do business students pick a specific undergraduate major.

Modeled after case-based MBA programs, the Canfield Business Honors Program’s small classes focus on discussion and presentation, group collaboration and analytic exercises—all in the interest of challenging business students to think outside the box. This honors program is also available for transfer students. Both freshman and transfer applicants may apply to this program.
Texas CSB is a new integrated honors degree program between Canfield Business Honors and the Department of Computer Science. Students enjoy a small cohort of business and tech savvy peers, opportunities at top companies that combine business and technology, and challenging curriculum that provides a solid foundation in business and computer science concepts. Freshman applicants may apply to this program.
Texas ECB is a dual degree program that provides hands-on, project-based learning within two of the most in-demand fields in today’s marketplace. Students receive a solid understanding of both business and electrical and computer engineering (ECE), while also earning bachelor’s degrees in ECE honors and business honors more quickly than studying each discipline independently. Freshman applicants may apply to this program.

Students in the Moody College Honors Program experience a diverse intellectual community that cultivates critical thinking, dialogue and transformative leaders in all areas of communication. The program offers an interdisciplinary 15-credit curriculum, special events and service activities, and eligibility for honors housing and scholarships to complement any communication major.
The College of Education offers freshman admission for all entry terms: summer, fall and spring.

Athletic Training
Both freshman and transfer applicants must be admitted to The University of Texas at Austin before applying to the Athletic Training program, preferably as an Applied Movement Science or Exercise Science major in Kinesiology and Health Education. After completing the required prerequisites, students can apply to the Athletic Training program.
Sport Management
Both freshman and transfer applicants should apply as a Physical Culture and Sports major. After completing the required prerequisites, students can apply to the Sport Management program.
Transfer applicants interested in a teacher certification professional development sequence must complete a separate application from their transfer application.
The Cockrell School of Engineering offers freshman admission only for the summer or fall semesters. Transfer admission is only offered for the fall.

Freshman students who wish to major in Humanities should choose the Undeclared major option. They can then apply to Humanities. The process involves designing a course of study, documenting interests and meeting with an advisor.
Transfer applicants interested in Humanities have the option of listing Humanities as their first choice major within their application.
The Liberal Arts Honors Program focuses on broadening students’ worldview and preparing them to lead. It is ideal for students who want the depth of a particular Liberal Arts discipline with the flexibility to incorporate specialized classes focused on reasoning, research and writing. Freshman applicants may apply to this program.
Plan II offers a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum in the arts and sciences and the flexibility to incorporate other majors and degrees. At its heart is the study of literature, philosophy, society and natural sciences—the things that make us human, from poetry to the latest discoveries in physics or cosmology. Freshman applicants may apply to this program.
The College of Natural Sciences offers freshman and transfer admission to all entry terms except Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Undeclared. Environmental Science is only available for fall admission, while Computer Science is only available for transfer admission in the fall. Only freshmen may be admitted as Undeclared. All students are admitted with entry-level status in their chosen major. Students will decide which degree pathway to follow after completing entry-level coursework.

The College of Pharmacy program requirements include at least two years of undergraduate pre-pharmacy prerequisites and core/flag course requirements.

Admission to the College of Pharmacy is a two-step process. First, you must be admitted to and enroll in a related major, such as those found in the College of Natural Sciences. After completing initial studies in your selected major in your pre-pharmacy college, you will be able to apply to a professional program in the College of Pharmacy.
Students applying for admission to the PharmD program after beginning their undergraduate coursework at another college or university do not need to complete the admissions application or apply for undergraduate transfer admission. Instead, visit the College of Pharmacy’s website for application instructions.
The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs offers admission to fall freshman applicants only.
The Steve Hicks School of Social Work offers freshman admission for all entry terms; summer, fall and spring.
Students admitted to the Steve Hicks School of Social Work enter as Pre-Social Work majors. After completing prerequisite courses, they are eligible to apply for admission to the Bachelor of Social Work program.
Our students don’t major in pre-med or pre-law. Instead, those interested in attending a professional school after earning their bachelor’s degree receive specialized advising through Pre-Law Services or the Health Professions Office.
Longhorns planning to teach middle or high school don’t major in education. Instead, they pursue a bachelor’s degree in their field with a teaching certification through UTeach.
